He confirmed that such attacks "will not prevent the pilgrims to come to commemorate this religious occasion".
Karbala suffered yesterday two car explosions in groceries market that led to killing 22 and wounding more than 40 according to health sources.
This month's religious visit commemorates the birth of Imam al-Mehdi, the 12th Imam, due next Friday, where some millions will visit Holy City of Karbala.
Karbala, center of the province, lies 108 km south west of the capital, Baghdad.
